Accommodation for Walkers at North Walk House
Walkers Accommodation at North Walk House, Lynton.
Lynton is situated on the North Coast of Devon on the clifftops within the Exmoor National Park. This is where Exmoor meets the sea. The spectacular sea views from the cliff tops, the scenery of Exmoor where the rivers and waterfalls tumble through the deeply wooded valleys to the sea, majestic red deer, wild ponies and sheep roam the bracken and heather, whilst falcons, buzzards and the rare merlin can be seen overhead. This setting, it has to be said, is unrivalled, with its breathtaking natural beauty and unspoilt landscape. Lynmouth, Lyntons twin town is the pretty harbour that nestles beneath the cliffs with its quaint fishing cottages. Connecting the towns is the famous Lynton and Lynmouth furnicular Cliff Railway built by the Victorians and replacing the hardworking pack horses who had to pull goods brought into harbour by ship, up the steep hill to Lynton. Today the Railway is a popular tourist attraction. Situated on the cliffside close to the Cliff Railway and right on the South West Coast Path is North Walk House run by Ian and Sarah Downing.
